[Demo Video] Monetize your Android App with Bitcoins

Today, in collaboration with Coinbase we released an Android SDK that makes it super easy for Android developers to monetize their app with Bitcoin. Basically, we implemented all the functionality provided for Google Wallet but specifically for Bitcoin. Here is a short video of a test application.

As we continuously strive to make it easier for publishers to monetize digital content, we are extremely proud to announce that we are adding support for Tumblr and Blogger. With this new support 143.3 million Tumblr blogs and millions of other Blogger sites can now monetize their content with Bitcoin. Also, they can use the fiat and social microtransactions capabilities of BitMonet to further increase their revenue and grow their user base.

In addition to adding support for Blogger and Tumblr platforms, we are also making it super simple for publishers to integrate BitMonet to any website. For Tumblr, Blogger, and for any custom site, all the publisher has to do it fill out a short form, and then copy and paste the generated code to their site. With our WordPress plug-in, even copying and pasting is not required.

As always, there is no BitMonet transaction fees. Also, the publisher has the freedom to customize BitMonet in any way possible as all our code is available on Github.

2) Tweet to read the article: Twitter fans: BitMonet is now aboard the Tweetdeck! With this new functionality, you won’t go unheard; your Tweeted content can spread awareness to enhance your visibility through social media.

3) Pay with credit card for large transactions: Last but certainly not least, BitMonet now allows you to accept payments through credit cards for large-value transactions.

As we strive to make it easy even for your Grandma to use BitMonet for her website, you can use these new features without writing a single line of code and you can get started in less than 30 seconds. As always, for all the bitcoin and open-source enthusiasts out there, all of the code we write is open-source, so you are free to change or modify it in all possible ways.
